With her arrival early this year, we’ve gained a dedicated team member who adds vibrant energy to our office environment. Suzanne’s personable nature and sharp intellect make her a valuable asset, and we can’t wait to share her journey with you. What is your role/what do you do at Vovia?
My role at Vovia is to serve as a hub between a diverse client group and our team of digital and offline marketers, analysts and strategists.
What do you do in your spare time?
Starting at an early age, I’ve always had an interest in documenting family gatherings. As an only child, I was fascinated by family dynamics and interplay. During my summer breaks from my university, I traveled around Europe developing my love of art. Discovering the joy of photography as an art medium allowed me to combine documenting the lives of people and creating visual art pieces. My happy place is in the darkroom, hand-crafting images and creating tangible memories.
Tell us something about yourself that would surprise people.
I worked as a Location Coordinator on a Bollywood movie set with some of the biggest stars in the world. One of my main jobs was to guard a bridge in Dorothy, just outside of Drumheller Alberta. It was the biggest stunt of the movie where we ‘blew up’ the bridge. During that time, I got to hang out with Abhishek Bachchan, one of the most popular stars of Indian cinema. We spent the time between shot set-ups speaking French as he had gone to boarding school in Switzerland. Enchanté!
What do you love/what are you most passionate about?
Game, set, match! Passionate about the game of tennis, my bucket list is to get to as many grand slam and big tennis events as I can. I love to support our Canadian players and am so proud of all their accomplishments.
What is your favourite part about working at Vovia?
Learning the constantly evolving world of digital and offline media from a group of dedicated and passionate people. And the chips, gotta love the always available chips!
