What is your role at Vovia?

As a Digital Media Specialist at Vovia, I focus on understanding each client’s unique marketing objectives and developing tailored digital strategies that deliver results. Whether the goal is boosting brand awareness, generating leads, driving sales, or maximizing ROAS, I handle campaigns end-to-end, ensuring effective execution and measurable success. I work collaboratively with clients and internal teams to deliver strategies that make a real impact, helping brands connect with their audiences and achieve success in today’s fast-paced digital landscape.

What do you do in your spare time?

I try to always be on the go! I love hitting the gym, playing basketball and trying to improve my cricket game in the summer. I’m also a huge fan of Punjabi and house music. When I’m not busy with all that, I love to explore new restaurants, tourist spots with my wife or sometimes just chilling at home watching movies and podcasts.

Tell us something about yourself that would surprise people.

Most people are surprised to hear that I once accidentally ended up in a university lecture, and took notes like I belonged there. I was visiting a friend on their campus and wandered into a philosophy class while looking for the library. The professor gave me a nod, I panicked and sat down—too awkward to explain I wasn’t supposed to be there. I figured I’d leave after ten minutes, but the discussion was genuinely fascinating. To this day, I know way too much about existentialism for someone who never officially took the class.

What do you love most/what are you passionate about?

My passions keep changing often. When I’m feeling motivated, I’m all about hitting the gym and obsessing over my diet. I love tracking my progress and getting stronger. I am passionate about driving and renting different cars on the weekends and exploring the city. I love connecting with people through meaningful conversations, learning new things, and helping out with creativity!

What is the best part about working at Vovia?

The people in the organization here are truly amazing!

The company places a strong emphasis on its people, which is reflected in its excellent team retention and positive work environment. I receive incredible support from my supervisors and find constant inspiration in my talented colleagues. Collaborating and brainstorming with them is such a joy.

So we hear you like to travel, where are your favourite spots to visit?

My foreign adventure began when I was 18 years old starting from Bangkok, where the vibrant energy of the city swept me away. I marvelled at the grandeur of the Grand Palace and wandered through the bustling Chatuchak Market, soaking in the lively atmosphere. The taste of authentic Thai street food was unforgettable!

Next, I headed to Australia when I was 24, where I dived into the clear waters of the Great Barrier Reef and explored the mystical Uluru. Sydney’s iconic Opera House and Harbour Bridge offered stunning views, while Melbourne’s laneways were filled with hidden gems and cozy cafes.

In Dubai, I was awestruck by the towering Burj Khalifa and relaxed on the luxurious Palm Jumeirah. The thrill of a desert safari and the charm of Dubai Creek made this stop unforgettable.

Finally, I ended up in Calgary where I live, exploring the beauty of Banff National Park and the exciting Calgary Stampede, having fabulous memories of an incredible adventure and looking forward to this year in July 2025.
