Get to Know…Sarah

Starting a new job during a pandemic is no easy task. Lucky for us our newest team member, Sarah Cullen, was willing and eager to join our group even through a remote setting. We welcomed her to the Client Service team in July and she has been able to hit the ground running. We managed to sit down with her virtually to get to know her a bit more.

What is your role at Vovia?

As an Account Manager, I strive to build and maintain strong and positive relationships with my clients. I work closely with the specialists within Vovia to ensure that as a team we are providing our clients with the most effective campaign strategies and executions.

What do you do in your spare time?

My spare time usually revolves around my family. Between my two kids and their five cousins, who all live nearby, there is always something fun planned–lots of birthday parties, play dates or days at the beach!

My husband and I also like to keep active. From playing on our softball team, to working out in our home-gym or going for hikes, we love it all! We also enjoy running together–we have completed plenty of 10k runs, the Tough Mudder obstacle course and the Dublin half marathon. We have a nice collection of medals to show for them!

That sounds like a busy household! Is there something about yourself that would surprise people?

I have six tattoos… and counting! Some have specific meanings behind them, and others were just for fun. It’s true what they say–they are addictive, and I can’t wait to add to my collection!

What do you love/what are you most passionate about?

My two favourite things are rock music and true crime. If you see me with my headphones on, it’s a safe bet that I’m either listening to a playlist that I’ve carefully curated based on my favourite bands, or a true crime podcast.

What is the best part about working at Vovia?

Definitely the people. Everyone is super friendly and helpful, and so skilled at what they do. I am learning so much from my direct team as well as the specialists I work with. Also, did I mention we have office dogs?

Last question, you lived in Ireland for nearly seven years. What was your favourite thing about living abroad?

Living in Dublin, Ireland gave me the opportunity to travel all around Europe. I saw so many amazing places in the time that I spent abroad, including Italy, Barcelona, Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Amsterdam, and multiple cities across the UK. Some of my fondest memories are from these trips and I hope to be able to visit some of them again one day!
