Get to Know… Oleksii!

Oleksii joined the Marketing Intelligence team at Vovia in July of 2023. Here, as a Marketing Intelligence Specialist, he contributes to the development and implementation of data-driven strategies aimed at optimizing marketing efforts— ultimately enhancing overall business performance, and generating reports on marketing effectiveness and consumer behavior.

Let’s get to know Oleksii a bit more: 

What is your role at Vovia?

Armed with a set of programming languages, tables and a trusty calculator, I embark on epic quests through the jungle of numbers, wrestling with wild algorithms and taming unruly spreadsheets. My mission is to transform cryptic data into crystal-clear insights that anyone can see and understand.

What do you do in your spare time?

In my spare time, when I’m not enjoying priceless moments with my family, I often engage in productive endeavors. This includes working on personal projects or indulging in physical activities to stay energized and focused.

Tell us something about yourself that would surprise people.

I believe that everything is possible and we are the creators of our own life. This “anything is possible” attitude surprises people, because it contrasts sharply with the common perception that life and work are often predetermined and constrained by numerous limitations. In a world where many are quick to highlight obstacles and limitations, I believe that my approach of viewing every situation as an opportunity for growth and innovation stands out.

What do you love/what are you most passionate about?

I’m really passionate about many things in my life, but music and engineering are definitely at the top of the list. I love listening to music, especially when it’s played with great sound quality. At the same time, I’m curious about how everything works and I enjoy building things on my own. This could range from developing a software application to building a loudspeaker. In short, I’m happiest when I’m tinkering with a project, with my favorite tunes playing in the background. Oh, and I have a fondness for donuts paired with quality coffee.

What is the best part about working at Vovia?

As a data analyst at Vovia, I find myself at the intersection of data science and marketing, a place where numbers meet creativity. But what truly makes my role here exhilarating is the opportunity to delve into machine learning and a host of other complex, yet fascinating, areas. What I love about Vovia is the freedom and resources to explore advanced areas. Whether it’s developing predictive models or analyzing market trends, the work is always engaging.
