What is your role at Vovia?

I am an Accounting Coordinator at Vovia. I do a bit of everything – from paying bills to collecting money and making sure our numbers add up. I also help out with other accounting related tasks and support our client service team when they have any requests. Plus, I also look over our company blog and monthly newsletter. It’s a lot but I love the mix!

What do you do in your spare time?

I try to always be on the go! I love hitting the gym, playing basketball and trying to improve my golf game. Golf’s been a great way to stay active without putting too much strain on my body while I am recovering from an injury. I have a hip injury because growing up I played lots of sports and I have injured myself so many times and never took the time to recover. When I’m not busy with all that, I love to go thrifting or I’m usually exploring new places with my fiancé or chilling at home with my pups. And let us not forget about those tv show marathons and video game nights!

Tell us something about yourself that would surprise people.

I have a variety of interests like building keyboards and computers, learning to customize golf clubs, editing videos and I even used to stream games on Twitch. I have a very addictive personality so when I get into something, I REALLY get into them which results in me trying to make money from those things. I stumbled across being a videographer and would make money filming and editing videos of different events. I also ended up learning how to build custom keyboards. I would stream the builds on Twitch and I would give them away.

What do you love most/what are you passionate about?

My passions change often. When I’m feeling motivated, I’m all about hitting the gym and obsessing over the diet. I love tracking my progress and getting stronger. This year I was introduced to golf and I’ve been so hooked, even though I’m terrible at it. I don’t how I could be so addicted to a game that I am so bad at. I also recently got engaged so navigating life with her has been an experience. Spending time together and enjoying life is something I love and look forward to every chance I can.

What is the best part about working at Vovia?

The people here are amazing! I’m really introverted but our team builders really helped me come out of my shell. This is my first job after graduating, and I’m so lucky to work for a company that cares about its employees and gives a good work-life balance. I love the culture, I love the people and I love the dogs too when they come to visit.
