Get to Know…Simran!

We’re starting off the new year with a new Get to Know post, this time for Simran! Simran has been with us for over 6 months now and has filled our office with her fun spirit, great energy, collaborative teamwork and awesome work ethic. We have loved getting to know Simran, so now it’s your turn!

What is your role at Vovia?

My role at Vovia is an Account Coordinator. In my role I cultivate relationships with clients and assist in executing their traditional and digital media plans. When executing a client’s media strategy, I work closely with the internal team to balance their vision and various stakeholder needs. 

What do you do in your spare time?

I enjoy spending quality time with friends and family checking out the dining scene in Calgary or brewing some Indian Chai and catching up on my favorite Netflix shows.

Tell us something about yourself that would surprise people.

I’ve traveled to five of the seven continents, or 10 countries so far. My favorite place to visit was Venice because I enjoyed traveling through the canals and the delicious pizza! 

What do you love/what are you most passionate about?

Since a young age I have always been passionate about making memorable experiences for people around me by planning and executing events. In high school, I participated in my school’s Student Union to help plan school dances and in University, I was the Co- President of the Marketing at SAIT (MAS) club where I helped plan and execute networking events for students. 

I am also passionate about marketing which is why I pursued this career path. I believe marketing is just a fun way to help solve problems that a business is facing. 

What is your favourite part about working at Vovia?

I work with multiple Vovian’s on different clients and the best part is when we collaborate on a strategy for our client. It is always exciting to hear all the unique and creative ideas that the team passionately brainstorms to help ensure our client’s campaigns are successful.
