Get to Know… Leon!

Earlier this year, Vovia welcomed our newest member of the digital marketing team, Leon. Coming on as a Digital Marketing Specialist, Leon has ramped up quickly to drive performance for many of our clients, particularly on the paid social side of things. Read on to learn more about Leon’s role at Vovia, his past work for one of Israel’s ministers, his newfound passion for meat smoking, and much more. 

What is your role at Vovia?

I am a Digital Marketing Specialist at Vovia, and my main expertise is in performance-based marketing. My go-to platform is Facebook but I also have experience with native advertising, analytics and process automation. The ever-changing nature of digital advertising platforms keeps me in a constant learning mode, which is great because I just LOVE reading tech and advertising news. I also have a keen eye for updates and new features, and I try to leverage that for my client’s success. 

Seeing a client’s revenue go up makes me happy, as I know that my work made their life better. And when their life gets better, their family’s life gets better, their employees’ life gets better, and so on.

What do you do in your spare time?

Most of my spare time is dedicated to my family! I just LOVE spending time with them – playing board games, taking a walk, playing outside, and hiking kid-friendly routes. After they’re in bed I finally take some time to myself and enjoy a good movie.

Tell us something about yourself that would surprise people.

I have quite a few things that surprise people but the most notable one was that I used to work as an advisor for one of Israel’s ministers. We focused on reducing bureaucracy and improving the governmental Services. I really enjoyed that rule as it had a direct impact on people’s lives and it saved them time and frustration when dealing with the government.

What do you love/what are you most passionate about?

I recently found a new passion – meat smoking. It combines my love for food, grilling and laziness. I find it hard to decide what I like more – the preparation or seeing my family and friends licking their fingers.

What is your favourite part about working at Vovia?

Vovia is nothing like any other agency that I’ve seen! The collaboration and mutual help, sharing of knowledge and learning between departments, and the diverse environment. All these things enrich me personally and professionally.
