Get to Know… Genevieve

What is your role at Vovia?Young Genevieve Crebbin

I am an SEM and Paid Social Specialist, which means I spend my days planning, executing and optimizing digital campaigns!

What is your favourite part of your role?

I love how digital campaigns require continuous testing and iteration to be successful. Just because one targeting type or one creative format worked at the beginning of a campaign, doesn’t necessarily mean it will continue to work throughout the length of the campaign. This means I am always diving deep into the data to determine what’s working and what I need to tweak to ensure my campaigns are reaching their full potential, which keeps each day fresh and interesting.

What do you like most about working at Vovia?

That’s easy, the culture! The Vovia team is a group of passionate, supportive and easygoing people. I know ‘the people’ have been mentioned a lot on these Get to Know posts, but I truly believe it is what makes us unique. When you can find a place where you love what you do and are excited to go into work every day (even Mondays), you know you’ve found something amazing.
I am also a big fan of the office dog policy. Puppy cuddles fix everything!

What do you do when you’re not working?

My wanderlust is real. I am always researching and planning my next travel adventure. My last trip was to Indonesia where we explored Bali and the Gili Islands and it was amazing. Next up on the travel bucket list is Japan, Croatia or Morocco, but there are so many places I want to explore that I’d be up to visit any country I haven’t been to before. I guess we’ll just have to see where the next flight deal takes me!

I’m also a very big family person so I like to spend as much time as I can with my husband and our puppy, Lola. You’ll probably find us at the Sue Higgins dog park or trying to get away with bringing her with us wherever we go. We’ve successfully brought her along to the mall, golfing, and the bank just to name a few. Cuteness prevails, and we just feel bad leaving her at home by herself

Is Lola a full time Vovian as well then?

Unfortunately, Lola hasn’t quite yet mastered rules number one and two of being an office dog. Even after graduating from puppy obedience school, she just isn’t interested in showing off her ‘stay’ at the office. She’d much rather spend her time visiting with everyone and sniffing everything along the way. As for rule number two, Lola and Loki were instant friends and are always VERY excited to see each other. So when you try to give them a play break, she will just protest by barking out for him to come back. This will be documented in Lola’s yearly review and we’re definitely working on it!
